Photographer and artist Keith Auerbach is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. For nearly 15 years his photographs appeared in LEO WEEKLY (Louisville Eccentric Observer). In 2007 he published “The Photographic Humor of Keith Auerbach,” which won a Book of The Year (IPPY) award from the Independent Publishers Association. He has won many additional awards and competitions including an International Photography Awards "Lucie."
Keith is also a psychiatrist and psychotherapist interested in intimacy, communication, relationships and addiction. For six years he was on the Substance Abuse Treatment Committee of the Jefferson Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center (JADAC). For twenty years he was a psychological consultant to Actors Theatre of Louisville, then under the direction of Jon Jory, where he helped directors, actors, writers and dramaturges with script and character analysis. For eight years he was the only non-clergy member of the Cathedral Heritage Foundations Spiritual Life Committee
Keith has won over 20 National Competitions. Highlights include his humor book winning a Book Of The Year (IPPY) Award from the Independent Publishers Association and the International Photography/Lucie Award which is considered the equivalent of an Oscar in the photography world.
